A note from Ezra

Hi Friends!

I have more than five years’ experience reading to children, in four different Los Angeles early childhood centers:  Pressman Academy, IKAR, Valley Beth Shalom, and the Westside Jewish Community Center. I have also read to kids at Rosewood Elementary School and at Camp Ramah in California.

Here's an article my dad wrote in 2019 about how this all started and an April 2020 article in The Forward that features EzraReads.com.

I am also an animator. You can see some of my animated videos here.

One of my first videos,  "Alphabet House," has more than 500,000 YouTube views and inspired a children’s book,  "E-mergency!," coauthored with Tom Lichtenheld, the bestselling children’s-book author and illustrator.

I love reading books to kids. When COVID-19 forced schools to close, I started EzraReads.com to help kids continue to enjoy the same kinds of books I had shared with them at their schools for many years. On my Hear a Favorite pages, you’ll find a large selection of videos of me reading great picture books. Or you can arrange for me to read to your kids one-one-one by visiting the Ezra in Real Time page or emailing me at info@EzraReads.com.

I’m also excited about a new project, working with Little Free Diverse Libraries to promote books by Black authors and others from diverse backgrounds.

In addition, I co-host a weekly podcast, "Animation...and Beyond," about all of my favorite things.

I look forward to sharing some stories with you!
